Today’s beginning comes from “The Venetian Betrayal” by Steve Berry which is the 3rd book in the Cotton Malone series.

Wonder what Cotton has gotten himself into now? As a former government agent turned antique book dealer, his life is full of adventures.
The Cotton Malone books remind me somewhat of the Robert Langdon books written by Dan Brown. They are full history, intrigue and colorful characters. I have enjoyed all that I have read and plan on reading the whole series.
